Absolut Bank
Russian Federation
Absolut Bank (full name — Joint-Stock Commercial Bank "Absolut Bank" (public joint-stock company), abbreviated as JSC "Absolut Bank" (PJSC)) is a Russian commercial bank founded in 1993 by the Absolut group of companies. Over more than 30 years of operation, the bank has established itself as a stable credit institution focused on corporate and retail clients as well as small businesses. Absolut Bank ranks among mid‑sized Russian banks by assets, but stands out for its conservative risk management policy and stable financial performance.
In 1995, Absolut Bank received an internal license from the Central Bank of the Russian Federation to conduct foreign currency transactions, which opened up opportunities for working with currency contracts and servicing clients' foreign economic activities. In 1997, the bank significantly expanded its capabilities: it obtained licenses to attract funds from individuals into deposits, to carry out banking operations in rubles and foreign currency, as well as a license as a professional participant in the securities market. This allowed the bank to enter the retail market, offering deposit and savings products, as well as brokerage and dealer services.
Today, Absolut Bank provides a wide range of financial services: settlement and cash services, lending (mortgages, consumer loans, business loans), bank cards, deposits and savings accounts, as well as investment products. The bank is a member of the Russian Deposit Insurance System (DIS), which guarantees the safety of retail clients' funds. Although the bank is not among the largest market giants, it maintains stable positions thanks to a balanced development strategy and a focus on service quality.
